The Medication Aide – Employer Vaccine Program is Different Than the 40-Hour CMA Course

The Medication Aide -Employer Vaccine Program has been designed to meet the demand for administration of the Covid-19 vaccine. It does not replace the 40-hour CMA course. Those who complete this course will appear on the DHHS registry as a “Medication Aide” but their certification does not meet the requirements to work in an assisted living facility, a nursing home, or an intermediate care facility for persons with developmental disabilities.

While this course will certify your employees to be legally approved to administer the COVID-19 vaccine, it does not cover the entire COVID-19 preparation and follow up protocols.

Not Available to Individual Students

The Medication Aide -Employer Vaccine Program is not available to the general public and must be requested through an authorized employer.  If you are an employer and you’d like to get your team certified as a Medication Aide, please contact us: 402.609.9583
