What is the time commitment for the 76-hour CNA course at Quality Career Pathways?
The CNA certification program is a total of 76 hours of instruction. QCP offers 2 formats: 100% 76 hours in the classroom or an accelerated, hybrid option that combines 44 hours of online coursework prior to 32 hours of in-person, hands-on classroom instruction. Both formats are designed to be completed in a minimum of two weeks.
What are the enrollment requirements for the CNA course in Omaha?
To enroll, you must be a minimum age of 16, be proficient in English (speak, read, write, and understand), be in good physical health capable of lifting up to 25 pounds, and be committed to attending classes at the Omaha campus locations.
Does Quality Career Pathways offer traditional 100% in-person CNA classes?
Yes. While the hybrid option is popular, QCP also offers a traditional course format where 100% of the 76 hours are completed in-person for students who prefer a structured schedule and immediate feedback. Check the Course Calendar for availability.
What is included in the total CNA course cost?
The total course cost is all-inclusive. It covers tuition and includes one attempt to pass the state exam fees for both the written and clinical skills assessments, which are taken on-site immediately at the end of class.
Can I take the state certification exams on-site at Quality Career Pathways?
YES, QCP is a state-licensed training center that offers on-site, state-approved testing immediately at the end of class. One attempt at both the written and skills exams is included in your tuition and taken at the completion of your course. ***Many schools do NOT include this in their pricing disclosures.**
What job settings can a CNA work in after certification?

Do I need a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be a CNA?
Many hospitals and clinics in the Omaha area require their CNA employees to have a Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association. QCP offers this course separately.
How do the CNA hybrid and traditional classes differ?
The Traditional option is 76 hours in-person. The Hybrid option allows you to complete 44 hours online at your own pace (within a set timeframe) before coming in for 32 hours of hands-on skills training.
What are the steps to renew a lapsed CNA license in Nebraska?
If your certification has lapsed, you can take QCP’s CNA Refresher Course or simply take the CNA Exams Only option to reactivate your credentials quickly. The CNA Refresher Course includes a 3-hour in-person review and testing. The CNA Exams Only includes online study materials and testing expectations.
Does the CNA certification prepare me for further nursing education?
Yes, the CNA certification is an excellent entry-level opportunity that provides foundational experience in patient care, which is often a required or highly beneficial step toward becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN)
