Here is a brief description of all the certifications offered at Quality Career Pathways.
CERTIFIED NURSING ASSISTANT (CNA)
Become a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) in as little as TWO WEEKS
A Certified Nursing Assistant, or CNA, helps patients or clients with healthcare needs under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Working closely with patients in a health care facility, hospital or in their home, you’ll complete such tasks as checking vital signs, making up patient beds and assisting patients with personal tasks. In some cases, CNAs can also assist with basic medical procedures.
2020 TUITION: $510 (paid in full, other payment options available)
CERTIFIED MEDICATION AIDE (CMA)
Become a CMA (Certified Medication Aide) in as little as ONE WEEK
A Certified Medication Aide, or CMA, administers routine oral medications and is responsible for monitoring a patient’s vitals and behavior while on medication. The CMA training program will prepare you for work in a health care facility (e.g. Assisted Living, nursing facility, hospital) or in a residential setting (e.g. in-home care).
2020 TUITION: $340 (paid in full, 100% classroom, other payment options available)
PEDICATRIC CNA (PEDS)
Adapt your CNA skills for pediatrics in one day
The one-day Children’s Pediatric Program, based on curriculum written by Omaha’s Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, will teach you how to adapt your CNA skills in order to care for children. Additionally, it will prepare you to work within hospital and clinic settings.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT (BLS)
Complete your Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification at Quality
Most hospitals and clinics require their CNA and CMA employees to also have their (BLS) Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association. This includes skills such as proper CPR techniques, AED instruction and how to remove airway obstructions in both adults and infants.
CNA REFRESHER COURSE
Go from lapsed status to an active status in ONE DAY with our CNA Refresher Class
Receive study materials in advance and receive three hours of additional training in our skills lab with a teacher. The small group setting of less than six students per class will give you confidence to pass the written and clinical skills exams held at the completion of the class.
