Certified Nursing Aide Renewal Options
REMINDER: Nebraska DHHS regulations state you have 3 attempts at testing regardless of the location/school you choose to test. After 3 attempts, you will need to take the entire 76-hr CNA Course again.
Also, if you know you have not worked during required timeframe and your CNA license is going to lapse in the future, you can take the refresher course or sit for the exam prior to your license lapsing.
OPTION 1: CNA REFRESHER CLASS
Hours To Completion: Approximately 3
- Online study materials provided prior to in-person review and testing. When you come to Quality Career Pathways, your day will be broken down as follows:
- For the first three hours you will review key CNA skills with our certified instructor. Your instructor will illustrate how to complete the skills based on the exam’s metrics, then you will have the opportunity to practice under the instructor’s supervision.
- Once training is complete, everyone will have one hour to complete the written exam.
- The remaining time is used for individual skills testing. Your exact skills exam time will be provided prior to your arrival at Quality and will be based upon order of enrollment (i.e. the person who enrolls first, will get the first time slot). You will be free to go once you have completed both exams.
All Inclusive Tuition: $150*
NOTE: Not all schools include testing fees with registration resulting in an additional payment to a 3rd party at a later date. Testing is INCLUDED with QCP payment at time of registration.
Requirements To Enroll:
You need to have a Certified Nurse Aide license in the State of Nebraska that has lapsed or is inactive.
OPTION 2: CNA TESTING ONLY
This option does NOT include any review with an instructor.
- Online study materials provided immediately upon sign up.
- Testing times are scheduled in order of sign up and you will be notified shortly after enrollment of your exact testing time.
- Written Exam: $35
- Skills Exam: $50 (includes online study materials for 60 days)

Certified nurse aides work with patients to provide health care under the supervision of a licensed or registered nurse. If you have already obtained a professional CNA certification but have let it lapse, this course can reactivate your expired or unused certificate in less than one day.
You will receive study materials in advance, then you’ll attend three hours of additional training in our skills lab with our instructor. The small group setting of less than six students per class will give you confidence to pass the written and clinical skills exams held at the completion of the class.
You can check with the Nebraska Nursing Aide Licensing Authority to ensure that the Quality Career Pathways CNA Refresher Course will fulfill the requirements you need to re-certify.
