Under the direction of a licensed nurse, a Certified Medication Aide administers oral and topical medications to patients. A CMA must follow the five rights of medication administration while following providerโ€™s orders. Many times this role is also expected to help clients with meals, dressing and bathing.

  • How to administer medications in a clinical setting by the following routes: oral, inhalation, topical and instillation
  • How to monitor a patientโ€™s vitals and behavior while on medication
  • The five rights of safe medication administration including accurate and complete documentation
  • The residentโ€™s rights, especially the right to refuse medication

A Certified Nursing Assistant helps patients or clients with healthcare needs under supervision. Duties often include tasks such as checking vital signs, making up patient beds and assisting patients with personal tasks.

76 Hours: 44 Online & 32 Classroom -Or- 76 Classroom


A Certified Medication Aide administers routine oral medications and is responsible for monitoring a patientโ€™s vitals and behavior while on medication. The CMA training program will prepare you for work in a health care facility or in a residential setting.

40 Hours: 24 Online & 16 Classroom


This Pharmacy Technician Program is a 12-week course that combines online learning, classroom hours, and onsite training. Through a partnership with Community Pharmacy, students will get hands-on experience in a pharmacy setting.

140 Hours: 124 Online, 8 Classroom & 8 Externship


This one-day CNA Pediatric Program, authored by Omahaโ€™s Childrenโ€™s Hospital and Medical Center, will teach you how to adapt your CNA skills in order to care for children. Additionally, it will prepare you to work within hospital and clinic settings.

7 Hours: 3.5 Online & 3.5 Classroom


This half-day course will teach you skills such as proper CPR techniques, AED instruction and how to remove airway obstructions in both adults and infants. Note: most hospitals and clinics require their employees to be BLS Certified.
