Position Highlights:

The Solid Organ Transplant Unit offers a unique opportunity to provide medical/surgical/telemetry and progressive care to adult pre and post liver, kidney, pancreas, intestinal and islet cell transplant patients.  Be a part of life changing care in this 36 bed unit where you will collaborate with an interprofessional team to provide care for patients that come from around the globe seeking world renown care at Nebraska Medicine.

Shift Details:

Full Time and Part Time available
Days (7a-7:30p) & Nights (7p-7:30a)
12 hour shifts

Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient’s plan of care.

Required Qualifications for CNAs:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Required Qualifications for Nursing Assistants:

  • Minimum of 18 years of age required.
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Six months experience in  patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct patient care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
